EXPLORE: GOLFING
T he secret is out. The
Cowichan region is being hailed as one of the friendliest and
most spectacular places to play golf on the Island. Home to
several of Vancouver
Island s premium golf courses, the Cowichan has
something to offer the first time golfer, the weekend golfer and
the budding pro. Three training facilities
offer year round coaching; two are associated
with 18 hole courses. The driving ranges, par three courses and
pitch and putts are a fun family outing. You will be able to
find something that meets every skill level.
Whether you are looking for a quick 9-holes,or you feel up to an
18-hole championship course, be sure to keep your focus as
the breathtaking views and wildlife are a distraction. Your
backdrop will be rugged mountains, lush forested
areas and ocean views. You may find yourself looking at everything except the greens!
All
this fresh West Coast air and sunshine can work up an appetite.
Not to worry, after an enjoyable day on the course, you ll be
able to step inside and dine at your leisure while overlooking
some of the most magnificent sunsets and
scenery in the area. For golfers
who already enjoy the courses in the Cowichan
there will soon be one more reason to return;
the new Greg Norman course on the Cliffs of Maple Bay is slated
to open in the Spring of 2008.
Enjoy our endless days of sun and warmth we have all the
ingredients for an experience that does
not stop.
Come and Play Cowichan.
